Best value of the weekend goes to the Cowboys for Davis: B.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Isaiah Davis got past him. The Cowboys do not have to explain a thing at pick No. 230.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.24 · Pick 24 · JC Latham · OT · rank 15
In the 24th overall pick they get a long-term starter on the line at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
R2.24 · Pick 56 · Cooper Beebe · OG · rank 47
Cooper Beebe at No. 56 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R3.32 · Pick 95 · Jeremiah Trotter Jr. · LB · rank 68
Jeremiah Trotter Jr. at slot 95 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R4.19 · Pick 119 · Will Shipley · RB · rank 109
Will Shipley is a better player than the 119th pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R5.37 · Pick 173 · James Williams · LB · rank 124
Steal is underselling it; James Williams at the Round 5 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R5.38 · Pick 174 · Chau Smith-Wade · CB · rank 126
A cornerback of that caliber at Round 5, Pick 38 is the definition of value, full stop. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R6.20 · Pick 195 · Anthony Gould · WR · rank 142
You do not let a wide receiver like Anthony Gould reach pick 195 and blink. They did not. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R7.10 · Pick 230 · Isaiah Davis · RB · rank 155
They robbed the room for Isaiah Davis here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R7.12 · Pick 232 · Isaiah Williams · WR · rank 180
Somehow Isaiah Williams was still sitting there in pick 232, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R7.13 · Pick 233 · Justin Rogers · DL · rank 193
They barely believed it either: Justin Rogers still on the board at the 233rd pick. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R7.24 · Pick 244 · Ro Torrence · CB · rank 179
The board fumbled Ro Torrence all the way to pick No. 244, and they scooped it up. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
