The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Jadarian Price, slot 111, roughly 42 picks past where he belonged. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
The Dennis-Sutton pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 26th overall pick they get a two-high chess piece, though they paid up to get him.
Value said wait; Dani Dennis-Sutton in the Round 2 slot says they were not listening. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Christen Miller in pick 62 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
By-the-book stuff, Treydan Stukes at slot 89 squarely in line with his ranking. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Jadarian Price at pick No. 111 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Parker Brailsford in No. 129 is fair value, right on his grade. The roster fit checks out.
A real head-scratcher, Jeff Caldwell in the 168th pick is miles ahead of his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Keyshaun Elliott in Round 6, Pick 13, miles early. A need, and now a little less of one.
