Somebody in pick No. 96 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Seahawks sat still while Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, the No. 52 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 2 of 8 of the wish list covered. The back end got a real overhaul.
The Laquon Treadwell pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
Colton Hood in No. 47 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
They paid sticker price for Jonah Coleman in the Round 2 slot, and that is fine. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren in the 96th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Jalen Farmer at pick 188 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Kaelon Black at Round 6, Pick 33 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The roster fit checks out.
