You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Cardinals did exactly that with Kevin Jennings in pick No. 151. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Campbell. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 16th pick they get a cornerstone up front, a steep price for the projection. The biggest hole, addressed.
Xavier Restrepo at Round 2, Pick 15 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Jihaad Campbell in the 78th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Howard Cross III this early at pick 113. A need, and now a little less of one.
