If confidence were a draft strategy, the Packers would have aced it. MJ Sherman at the 250th pick is 121 spots clear of where he belonged.
They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Barron.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 23 they get a lockdown presence outside, outstanding value to boot. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
By-the-book stuff, Tyleik Williams at the Round 2 slot squarely in line with his ranking. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Savion Williams at pick 87 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
No drama and no debate, Kobe King went about where he belonged in Round 4, Pick 21. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Dorian Strong in pick No. 158 is fair value, right on his grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Nick Nash in slot 196 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Logan Parr in the Round 7 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A wild overpay on MJ Sherman in Round 7, Pick 34, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
