The Packers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Jake Golday, the No. 59 name on the board, in slot 91. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

Every board in the league had Zuhn III lower, and that gap is the story. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick-by-Pick

R2.20 · Pick 52 · Christen Miller · DL · rank 56
No edge and no loss on Christen Miller in pick No. 52; it is a wash and a sensible one. The roster fit checks out.
R3.27 · Pick 91 · Jake Golday · OLB · rank 59
They barely believed it either: Jake Golday still on the board at Round 3, Pick 27. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R4.20 · Pick 120 · Davison Igbinosun · CB · rank 113
Davison Igbinosun in the 120th overall pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R4.22 · Pick 122 · Jack Endries · TE · rank 121
Jack Endries in pick 122 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R4.26 · Pick 126 · Emmett Johnson · RB · rank 104
Emmett Johnson at No. 126 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R4.30 · Pick 130 · Gracen Halton · DL · rank 125
Gracen Halton at the Round 4 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R5.20 · Pick 160 · Ar'maj Reed-Adams · OG · rank 169
A reach on Ar'maj Reed-Adams in the 160th pick; the board had better options right there. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R5.28 · Pick 168 · Matt Gulbin · C · rank 181
Matt Gulbin in slot 168 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R6.20 · Pick 201 · Josh Cameron · WR · rank 184
Josh Cameron in No. 201 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It fills a real need, too.
R6.34 · Pick 215 · Trey Zuhn III · OT · rank 243
A real head-scratcher, Trey Zuhn III in the Round 6 slot is miles ahead of his ranking. A need, and now a little less of one.
R7.15 · Pick 231 · Andre Fuller · CB · rank 229
They took Andre Fuller at par in slot 231, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R7.20 · Pick 236 · Lander Barton · LB · rank 227
A tidy bit of business in Round 7, Pick 20, where Lander Barton graded well above the range. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
R7.39 · Pick 255 · Jalon Daniels · QB · rank 256
Jalon Daniels in pick No. 255 is fair value, right on his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
