Nobody else had Trey Zuhn III anywhere near Round 6, Pick 20. The Packers did, by 38 spots, and that gap is the whole story. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
The Price value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
A fair-value weekend of trading, no edge to be found.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
Nothing to complain about; D'Angelo Ponds went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Jadarian Price at No. 85 is money in the bank, a running back taken below his worth. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A straight-up fair deal on Davison Igbinosun at pick No. 120, value and slot in agreement. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They talked themselves into Gracen Halton at the Round 4 slot, and the board did not agree. The roster fit checks out.
Nate Boerkircher in pick 160 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Value said wait; Trey Zuhn III in Round 6, Pick 20 says they were not listening. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They reached into another round for Connor Tollison, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A need, and now a little less of one.
Deven Eastern at slot 255 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
