This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Mike Sainristil, the No. 75 name on the board, stolen at the 202nd overall pick.
The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 25 they get a matchup problem out wide, outstanding value to boot. A clean fit for the roster.
Circle this one: Taliese Fuaga at slot 41 is a fall that decides a draft. It fills a real need, too.
Quinyon Mitchell in the Round 2 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
You do not let a safety like Javon Bullard reach the 88th pick and blink. They did not. A minor itch, scratched.
Fair-plus on Trey Benson, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Taking Chris Braswell in pick No. 126 is close to grand larceny; an edge rusher that good had no business lasting this long. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A slide stopped in the 169th overall pick, with Kitan Oladapo worth more than the price. Stacking talent where they were already deep.

Tanor Bortolini in the 219th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They will replay Steele Chambers at pick 245 for years; that is how good the value is. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Frank Gore Jr. at Round 7, Pick 35 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
