Hard to follow the map here. The Packers bypassed edge rusher, quarterback and other spots to take Kamren Kinchens at the 73rd pick, a spot they had covered.
They are betting Frazier proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
The Kinchens pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.
Call it incomplete, and check back in a couple of seasons.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a wrecking ball inside, though the board says they badly overpaid. A clean fit for the roster.
A reach on Cooper Beebe in the 41st overall pick; the board had better options right there. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They took Calen Bullock at par in pick No. 43, which is nothing to complain about. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Hard to square with the roster. With positions of obvious need still on the board, Kamren Kinchens adds a safety and leaves edge rusher, quarterback and other spots untouched.
They went early on Payton Wilson in Round 3, Pick 18, and the value did not follow. A minor itch, scratched.
Zach Frazier in No. 109 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. The roster fit checks out.
They jumped the gun on Mike Sainristil, taking him earlier than his grade liked. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
