You can hear the double-takes from here. The Packers took Tommy Eichenberg at slot 91, roughly 54 spots before his name belonged. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
Landing McGlothern that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
No edge and no loss on Cooper DeJean in slot 25; it is a wash and a sensible one. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They paid sticker price for Cooper Beebe in the 41st pick, and that is fine. A need, and now a little less of one.
The board had cheaper options than Kiran Amegadjie at the Round 2 slot, and it noticed. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Kalen King well ahead of where he belonged. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

Circle this one: Mason McCormick at pick 169 is a fall that decides a draft. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Somehow Dwight McGlothern was still sitting there in slot 202, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Daijun Edwards at the 219th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Tylan Grable at Round 7, Pick 25 is the proof. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
The board had Josh Proctor higher than pick 255, and the safety fell to them anyway. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
