It is the swing that defines the weekend: Sione Vaki in the 126th overall pick, a good 32 spots before the room expected him. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They banked enough surplus on Grable to cover a lot of smaller sins. They will answer for taking safety early while quarterback, running back and other spots went begging.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
