There is a lot to like until you notice edge rusher is still a hole. The Packers never got to the one that mattered most.
Every board in the league had Henderson lower, and that gap is the story. Job largely done: running back settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 9th overall pick they get an anchor for the offensive line. A clean fit for the roster.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Keon Coleman in Round 2, Pick 10. The roster fit checks out.
They took Calen Bullock at par in pick 43, which is nothing to complain about. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
They jumped the gun on TreVeyon Henderson, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They did well to land Barrett Carter in the Round 3 slot, just ahead of his grade. A minor need, but a need all the same.
