Green Bay Packers

Best value of the weekend goes to the Packers for Bishop: B.

You build a draft on nights like this. Cole Bishop had no business being available in slot 203, and the Packers did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

Reaching for McGlothern left real value on the table behind him. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.25 · Pick 25 · Marvin Harrison Jr. · WR · rank 1
Marvin Harrison Jr. in slot 25 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R2.9 · Pick 41 · Taliese Fuaga · OT · rank 17
Taliese Fuaga in the 41st overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R2.28 · Pick 60 · Drake Maye · QB · rank 5
Drake Maye in No. 60 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R3.25 · Pick 88 · Edgerrin Cooper · LB · rank 58
They barely believed it either: Edgerrin Cooper still on the board at Round 3, Pick 25. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
R3.28 · Pick 91 · Mike Sainristil · CB · rank 82
A slide stopped in pick No. 91, with Mike Sainristil worth more than the price. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R3.36 · Pick 99 · Sedrick Van Pran · C · rank 90
They let Sedrick Van Pran come to them and pounced at the 99th pick. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R4.25 · Pick 125 · Kiran Amegadjie · OT · rank 52
They robbed the room for Kiran Amegadjie here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R4.28 · Pick 128 · Kamal Hadden · CB · rank 138
A premium they did not need to pay, Kamal Hadden a notch or two before his time. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R4.35 · Pick 135 · James Williams · S · rank 134
James Williams in the 135th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
R6.28 · Pick 203 · Cole Bishop · S · rank 129
A safety of that caliber at Round 6, Pick 28 is the definition of value, full stop. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
R6.42 · Pick 217 · Dwight McGlothern · CB · rank 257
A real head-scratcher, Dwight McGlothern in pick No. 217 is miles ahead of his ranking. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R6.44 · Pick 219 · Matthew Jones · OG · rank 242
Matthew Jones in the Round 6 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It fills a real need, too.
R7.26 · Pick 246 · McKade Mettauer · OG · rank 280
McKade Mettauer at pick 246 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
