The Packers torched the value chart for Matthew Jones, taking him 23 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The Packers indulged a want in Smith while a need in edge rusher, quarterback and other spots stayed open. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
