B-
Green Bay Packers
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Packers.

2024 NFL Draft
· 11 picks
· 0 steals
· 2 reaches
There is conviction, and then there is this. The Packers took Isaac Guerendo a full 32 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.
For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th overall pick they get a two-high chess piece at fair value. Need was not the driver here.
No edge and no loss on Kris Jenkins in the 41st pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Edgerrin Cooper at the Round 2 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Zak Zinter in Round 3, Pick 25 is fair value, right on his grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A straight-up fair deal on Audric Estime at pick 91, value and slot in agreement. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They paid sticker price for Jarrian Jones in pick No. 126, and that is fine. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Nothing to complain about; Jaylen Wright went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They did well to land Josh Proctor in the 203rd pick, just ahead of his grade. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Braiden McGregor at No. 216 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Isaac Guerendo in slot 243, miles early. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Value said wait; Dwight McGlothern in pick 251 says they were not listening. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
