Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Packers spent pick 216 on Trey Taylor, a name the board had a full 81 spots lower.

McGlothern falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.

With quarterback, wide receiver and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
