When a board-topper like Mason McCormick slides to the Round 6 slot, you do not overthink it, and the Packers did not.

Reaching for Crum left real value on the table behind him. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

With edge rusher, quarterback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on linebacker is the choice that costs them.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
