The tape said wait; the Packers did not. Dallas Gant went at the 255th overall pick, a good 66 picks before the board was ready.

Getting McClellan where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
