The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Dwight McGlothern, Round 6, Pick 27, roughly 41 picks past where he belonged. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The trade work was a quiet net positive.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 29th pick they get a cornerstone up front at fair value.
T'Vondre Sweat at slot 41 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Payton Wilson in pick No. 58 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Circle this one: T.J. Tampa at the 88th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Dominick Puni in the Round 3 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
By-the-book stuff, Isaac Guerendo at pick 126 squarely in line with his ranking. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Malik Mustapha at Round 5, Pick 33 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
The board fumbled Dwight McGlothern all the way to No. 202, and they scooped it up. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Value with a capital V on Jared Wiley in pick 219, a genuine coup. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
