You can draft well and still miss the point. The Packers did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to edge rusher, which was the need that mattered most.
On value alone, Fashanu makes the weekend a net positive. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a building block for the line, and a steal at that.
Edgerrin Cooper in No. 41 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
A straight-up fair deal on Jaden Hicks at the 58th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Dominick Puni at pick No. 88 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A need, and now a little less of one.
Khyree Jackson at the Round 3 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
