The Packers torched the value chart for Phillip Webb, taking him 167 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
The Mondon Jr. pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.
They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 24th pick they get an island corner, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A premium they did not need to pay, Denzel Burke a notch or two before his time. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Elic Ayomanor at pick 88 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They reached a country mile for Phillip Webb at slot 125, and the board is aghast. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They went early on Joshua Gray in the 159th overall pick, and the value did not follow. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
