This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Keionte Scott, the No. 64 name on the board, stolen at slot 120. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick-by-Pick

R2.20 · Pick 52 · Anthony Hill Jr. · LB · rank 38
They read the board right and Anthony Hill Jr. was the payoff at the 52nd pick. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
R3.20 · Pick 84 · Jake Golday · OLB · rank 62
Jake Golday in pick No. 84 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R4.20 · Pick 120 · Keionte Scott · CB · rank 64
Taking Keionte Scott in the 120th overall pick is close to grand larceny; a cornerback that good had no business lasting this long. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R5.20 · Pick 160 · Eli Raridon · TE · rank 137
They robbed the room for Eli Raridon here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R6.20 · Pick 201 · Aaron Anderson · WR · rank 180
You do not let a wide receiver like Aaron Anderson reach pick 201 and blink. They did not. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R7.20 · Pick 236 · Brandon Cleveland · DT · rank 229
A tidy little value on Brandon Cleveland in slot 236, a step better than break-even. It fills a real need, too.
R7.39 · Pick 255 · Jaydn Ott · RB · rank 247
Value with a capital V on Jaydn Ott in the Round 7 slot, a genuine coup. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
