Everything else got attention, and cornerback got none. That is a strange way for the Packers to leave a draft.
The Worthy pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The trade work was a quiet net positive.
They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 28 they get a plug-and-play piece up front. A clean fit for the roster.
No drama and no debate, Chris Braswell went about where he belonged in pick No. 41. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Edgerrin Cooper in the 58th overall pick. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
A slide stopped in No. 67, with Xavier Worthy worth more than the price. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A market-rate safety, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Dadrion Taylor-Demerson. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Braelon Allen in pick 100 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
