Nobody had Malik Washington this high, and it is not close. The Packers reached 108 spots to get him at Round 2, Pick 19. A weekend of give and take that grades a C+.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. Getting Nesbit where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 19 they get a true top target at fair value.
They reached into another round for Braelon Allen, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Malik Washington in the Round 2 slot is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Sedrick Van Pran at pick 83 is a conviction pick that outran the value. The roster fit checks out.
Christian Mahogany at the 92nd pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They paid sticker price for Donovan Jackson in slot 119, and that is fine. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Cade Stover in the 135th pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A need, and now a little less of one.
