The war room fell hard for Logan Lee, and it showed at No. 219: 24 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
Taylor falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They went 8 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a blindside protector. A real need, handled.
Junior Colson at pick 48 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A minor itch, scratched.
Javon Bullard at the 58th pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
They did well to land Brandon Dorlus in the Round 3 slot, just ahead of his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They paid sticker price for Khyree Jackson in pick No. 91, and that is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Cedric Gray in slot 114 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.

Cornelius Johnson at No. 169 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They took Tanner McLachlan at par in the 202nd overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A wild overpay on Logan Lee in the Round 6 slot, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Value with a capital V on Trey Taylor in slot 245, a genuine coup. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
They reached into another round for Carter Bradley, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
