The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Patriots watched Jihaad Campbell slide 39 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.
They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Every board in the league had Roberts lower, and that gap is the story.
A strong weekend's work, and a rare one to find this little fault with.
Pick-by-Pick
Travis Hunter in the 4th pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
They robbed the room for Omarion Hampton here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Steal is underselling it; Tyler Warren at pick 69 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Jihaad Campbell in Round 3, Pick 13 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
They paid up for Jaeden Roberts at the Round 5 slot when waiting would have done the job. A need, and now a little less of one.
