The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Nehemiah Pritchett, No. 231, roughly 88 picks past where he belonged.
Caleb Williams is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.
That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

In Round 1, Pick 4 they get a weapon on the perimeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
In the 25th pick they get the face of the franchise, outstanding value to boot. A clean fit for the roster.
In No. 27 they get a building block for the line, and a steal at that. A real need, handled.
Brock Bowers at slot 34 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
You do not let a wide receiver like Adonai Mitchell reach pick No. 68 and blink. They did not. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Blake Corum in the 103rd overall pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A wide receiver of that caliber at the 137th pick is the definition of value, full stop. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Circle this one: Luke McCaffrey at Round 6, Pick 5 is a fall that decides a draft. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Chau Smith-Wade in the Round 6 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Nehemiah Pritchett at pick 231 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
