The trade table was a mismatch, and the Patriots were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. Add it all up and it grades out a clean A-.

Getting Wilson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. It is not that Jackson is a bad player; it is that the Patriots had louder needs to answer first. They will regret leaving safety for another day if the season turns on it.

The Logue reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

Trust the process, because this time the process plainly worked.
