You could see the war room lean forward. Malik Mustapha at the Round 7 slot is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Little to argue with here, and the A- says so.

So much rides on Jayden Daniels that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

The Patriots indulged a want in Rakestraw Jr. while a need in edge rusher and interior defensive lineman stayed open.

It is a haul that will look even better come September.
