They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
On value alone, Hadden makes the weekend a net positive. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.
They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 3 they get the face of the franchise. A real need, handled.
A tidy little value on Tyler Guyton in pick 34, a step better than break-even. A need, and now a little less of one.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Kingsley Suamataia at the 68th overall pick. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They did well to land Khyree Jackson in Round 4, Pick 3, just ahead of his grade. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
They read the board right and Johnny Wilson was the payoff at the 137th pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Tip Reiman at pick No. 180 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Kamal Hadden in the Round 6 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
They took Edefuan Ulofoshio at par in No. 231, which is nothing to complain about. A minor need, but a need all the same.
