You could see the war room lean forward. Jordan Morgan at pick 68 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Every board in the league had Rosengarten lower, and that gap is the story.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 3 they get a matchup problem out wide. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A clean, defensible pick in slot 34 with a little surplus value in Bo Nix. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Jordan Morgan at pick No. 68 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
By-the-book stuff, Braelon Allen at pick 104 squarely in line with his ranking. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Roger Rosengarten in Round 4, Pick 36 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Jalyx Hunt slid further than he should have, and the 182nd pick is lovely value for the S-EDGE. Hard to map this one onto the depth chart at all.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Garret Greenfield at the Round 7 slot is the proof. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
