After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Patriots committed. Drake Maye is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.
The Tampa pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The Knox reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
