New England Patriots

The Patriots turned the phones into found money: B-.

by SD · 2026 NFL Draft · 13 picks · 5 steals · 5 reaches
Value B-
Need B
Trades A+
Future D-

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Patriots reached some 35 spots for Jack Endries, and value like that does not grow back.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The Stukes value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.31 · Pick 31 · Chris Brazzell II · WR · rank 29
In the Round 1 slot they get a home-run threat at receiver at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
R2.7 · Pick 39 · CJ Allen · LB · rank 31
CJ Allen at slot 39 is money in the bank, a linebacker taken below his worth. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
R3.22 · Pick 86 · Jack Endries · TE · rank 121
Value said wait; Jack Endries in pick No. 86 says they were not listening. It fills a real need, too.
R4.10 · Pick 110 · Zakee Wheatley · S · rank 86
The board fumbled Zakee Wheatley all the way to pick 110, and they scooped it up. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R4.25 · Pick 125 · Treydan Stukes · CB · rank 96
Treydan Stukes at the 125th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
R4.31 · Pick 131 · Dametrious Crownover · OT · rank 143
They paid up for Dametrious Crownover at No. 131 when waiting would have done the job. A need, and now a little less of one.
R5.6 · Pick 146 · Trey Moore · LB-EDGE · rank 178
This one needs a full-page explanation: Trey Moore in pick No. 146, miles early. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R5.31 · Pick 171 · Kaleb Elarms-Orr · LB · rank 176
A straight-up fair deal on Kaleb Elarms-Orr at the Round 5 slot, value and slot in agreement. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
R6.10 · Pick 191 · Aaron Graves · DT · rank 202
Aaron Graves at the 191st overall pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R6.17 · Pick 198 · Dallen Bentley · TE · rank 197
Dallen Bentley in pick 198 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R6.21 · Pick 202 · VJ Payne · S · rank 194
VJ Payne slid further than he should have, and Round 6, Pick 21 is lovely value for the safety. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R6.31 · Pick 212 · Cole Payton · QB · rank 196
Cole Payton in slot 212 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R7.31 · Pick 247 · Adam Randall · RB · rank 274
Adam Randall at No. 247 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
