The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Patriots watched Nicholas Singleton slide 118 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with safety the one that mattered most.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
