Grand theft in the Round 3 slot: the Patriots steal Kinchens and grade out a B+.

Whoever sat across the table from the Patriots should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.
However the rest shakes out, Kinchens at that price is a win they earned. Reaching for Laube left real value on the table behind him. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 4 they get a long-term starter on the line. A clean fit for the roster.
In the 27th pick they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Nothing to complain about; Adonai Mitchell went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
The board fumbled Edgerrin Cooper all the way to slot 68, and they scooped it up. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Kamren Kinchens at No. 90 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Spencer Rattler in the 103rd overall pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They reached into another round for Dylan Laube, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
The board had AJ Barner higher than No. 180, and the tight end fell to them anyway. A need, and now a little less of one.
By-the-book stuff, Trente Jones at Round 6, Pick 18 squarely in line with his ranking. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They took Trevin Wallace at par in the Round 7 slot, which is nothing to complain about. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
