The search is over. The Patriots handed the keys to Drake Maye, and the whole operation now runs on his development. Add it all up and it grades out a clean A-.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

In the end it comes back to Drake Maye, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
