The war room fell hard for Tyler Harrell, and it showed at Round 6, Pick 18: 167 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
So much rides on Drake Maye that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Braswell. Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 3rd overall pick they get the arm they will build around. A real need, handled.
Keon Coleman in slot 34 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Tyler Guyton in pick 68 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A need, and now a little less of one.
They robbed the room for Chris Braswell here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Jarvis Brownlee Jr. in the 137th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Rasheen Ali. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Tyler Harrell in slot 193 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
