If you want a masterclass in dealing, watch the Patriots, who turned every swap into a profit this weekend. One of the weekend's best, top to bottom, and a A- to show for it.
The Neal value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.
Bottom line, with Matthew Golden leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a weapon on the perimeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Tyler Booker at Round 2, Pick 6 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Donovan Jackson at slot 77 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A wide receiver of that caliber at the 81st overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Devin Neal in pick 106 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It fills a real need, too.

Value with a capital V on Ollie Gordon II in the Round 6 slot, a genuine coup. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A tidy bit of business in the 212th overall pick, where Luke Lachey graded well above the range. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
