When a board-topper like Bhayshul Tuten slides to Round 7, Pick 1, you do not overthink it, and the Patriots did not. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Reaching for Hawes left real value on the table behind him. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
