The Patriots spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Brashard Smith, the No. 100 name on the board, in slot 221. One of the weekend's best, top to bottom, and a A to show for it.

They will need Sapp to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped safety, which is a strange place to end up.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Tetairoa McMillan and all.
