If confidence were a draft strategy, the Patriots would have aced it. Ben Sinnott at No. 104 is 41 spots clear of where he belonged. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. The Wright steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

The Stover pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at edge rusher and interior defensive lineman. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
