You could see the war room lean forward. Jake Majors at Round 7, Pick 27 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
A whole weekend of picks and safety is somehow still a want. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
A straight-up fair deal on Mason Graham at slot 4, value and slot in agreement. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Steal is underselling it; Wyatt Milum at pick 36 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Tre Harris at the Round 3 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
You do not let an edge rusher like Princely Umanmielen reach Round 3, Pick 19 and blink. They did not. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Taking Harold Fannin Jr. in the 105th overall pick is close to grand larceny; a tight end that good had no business lasting this long. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They will replay T.J. Sanders at pick No. 142 for years; that is how good the value is. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Dylan Fairchild in the 220th pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The roster fit checks out.
Circle this one: Logan Brown at No. 223 is a fall that decides a draft. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Jake Majors in pick 241 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
