You could see the war room lean forward. Quinshon Judkins at the 222nd overall pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Malaki Starks and all.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 24 they get a ballhawk on the back end, and a steal at that. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Somehow Jihaad Campbell was still sitting there in the 69th overall pick, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Cam Skattebo in pick No. 97 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Dylan Fairchild at No. 105. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Circle this one: Jake Majors at the Round 5 slot is a fall that decides a draft. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They robbed the room for Barrett Carter here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Quinshon Judkins in slot 222, plain and simple. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A specialist of that caliber at the 240th pick is the definition of value, full stop. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
