Landing Harris that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.
They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 11 they get a moveable chess piece at tight end. A clean fit for the roster.
They paid sticker price for Jordan Morgan in pick 34, and that is fine. The roster fit checks out.
No drama and no debate, Xavier Legette went about where he belonged in pick No. 36. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Kamari Lassiter in the 40th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Javon Bullard at the Round 3 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Bucky Irving slid further than he should have, and the 103rd pick is lovely value for the running back. It fills a real need, too.
The board fumbled Javon Solomon all the way to Round 5, Pick 1, and they scooped it up. Need-wise, a curious use of the pick.
They barely believed it either: Trevor Keegan still on the board at pick 180. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Steal is underselling it; Marcus Harris at the Round 6 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They talked themselves into Austin Reed at the 231st overall pick, and the board did not agree. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
