The Patriots spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Andrew Mukuba, the No. 70 name on the board, in the 104th pick. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

Pick-by-Pick
In slot 4 they get juice off the edge. The biggest hole, addressed.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Emeka Egbuka at pick 38. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Alfred Collins in the 69th overall pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Colston Loveland at No. 77 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It fills a real need, too.
A safety of that caliber at Round 4, Pick 3 is the definition of value, full stop. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Somehow Cam Skattebo was still sitting there in the Round 5 slot, and they pounced on premier running back value. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
