You build a draft on nights like this. Kamren Kinchens had no business being available in the 182nd overall pick, and the Patriots did the only sane thing and turned in the card. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.
Jayden Daniels gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 10th overall pick they get their guy under center for the next decade. A real need, handled.
Brock Bowers in Round 2, Pick 2 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A need, and now a little less of one.
Zach Frazier slid further than he should have, and No. 68 is lovely value for the offensive lineman. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A top-tier edge rusher at a bargain, Bralen Trice in slot 111, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They robbed the room for Luke McCaffrey here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Kamren Kinchens in Round 6, Pick 7 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They will replay Jarrian Jones at pick 193 for years; that is how good the value is. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Taking Isaiah Adams in the 231st pick is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
