Whoever sat across the table from the Patriots should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Bond. The DK Metcalf pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 7 they get a long-term starter on the line. A real need, handled.
Deone Walker at the 69th overall pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Quinshon Judkins is a better player than the Round 3 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Isaiah Bond at Round 3, Pick 28 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Smael Mondon Jr. in pick No. 105 is fair value, right on his grade. A minor itch, scratched.
