Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Patriots were there to profit. Elijah Jones, the No. 193 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 229th pick.
They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
If Corum pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
If J.J. McCarthy and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
