The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Cobee Bryant, the 219th pick, roughly 33 picks past where he belonged. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C+.
The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.
If Tetairoa McMillan and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
Pick-by-Pick
Tetairoa McMillan in the 4th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They read the board right and Jalon Walker was the payoff at the 34th overall pick. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Quinshon Judkins at slot 69 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
The board fumbled Harold Fannin Jr. all the way to Round 3, Pick 13, and they scooped it up. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Donovan Jackson at No. 91 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They took Lathan Ransom at par in the Round 4 slot, which is nothing to complain about. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Anthony Belton in pick No. 145 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A need, and now a little less of one.
They robbed the room for Cobee Bryant here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
