The rest of the league will want that one back. Quinshon Judkins tumbling to the Patriots in the Round 6 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
Parker has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 3 they get an island corner. Need was not the driver here.
Fair-plus on Tate Ratledge, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A reach on Josh Conerly Jr. in the 36th pick; the board had better options right there. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Tyler Booker at the 79th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Andrew Mukuba at No. 105 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Deontae Lawson at pick No. 129 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Savion Williams in Round 5, Pick 1, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Steal is underselling it; Quinshon Judkins at the Round 6 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The roster fit checks out.
Kaden Prather at pick 218 is a conviction pick that outran the value. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A linebacker of that caliber at the 219th overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Justin Walley well ahead of where he belonged. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Steven Parker at slot 238 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
KJ Jefferson in the Round 7 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
